Dr. Peter William de Oliveira<\/strong> is head of the\u00a0<\/span>Innovation Centre INM\u00a0<\/span><\/i>and head of the Program Division\u00a0<\/span>Optical Materials\u00a0<\/span><\/i>at INM. De Oliveira earned his M.S. Degree in physics from the University of Sao Paulo and the Ph.D. degree from Saarland University. During the last 12 years, he had evaluated and constructed a new technological platform for the development of new materials for optical applications based on nanocomposites. The developed know-how in the optical elements and coatings technology has attracted 35 projects with German, European and overseas companies and institutions within the last five years.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The role of INM in the consortium is the development of conductive printable ink and the coating of the optical surface. Furthermore, INM will increase the visibility of the project by presenting it on international fairs and can contribute via its Innovation Centre to an exploitation of technological innovations achieved during the project.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Peter K\u00f6nig<\/strong> earned a PhD in Chemistry, specializing in synthesis of silanols and alumosiloxanes. <\/span>Since 2007 he is working at INM, and his research topics include besides others, high refractive index coatings and adjusted refractive indices for composites as well as printable silver nanowire-based inks and pastes and inks for electrospinning of conductive fibers, also mainly based on nanosized silver. His research experience on inks for conductive structures will support the Live Mirror project, which aims to combine mirrors made via thin film deposition on glass with the printing of circuits and electroactive elements. His experience from former projects with industrial partners as well as publicly funded projects and the background in conductive nanomaterials will help to achieve the goals of this innovative project.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Peter Rogin<\/strong> is a physicist specialized in optics. He earned his PhD degree on the topic of crystal growth for laser applications and has been an active researcher in the general field of optical materials since then. After joining INM in 1999, he has been involved in many different projects related especially to optical coatings and microstructures. While he has some experience in materials synthesis and coating processes as well as in electrical, mechanical and software engineering, his main expertise is in optical effects of small structures and in optical characterization. In the Live-Mirror project, he is developing customized metrology for characterizing mirror surfaces. This is essential for providing a short feedback loop in developing both the optical surface coating and the inks used for additive manufacturing of the actuators.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Mariano Laguna-Moreno<\/strong> earned a PhD in Materials Science, specializing in nanomaterials with a focus on metallic and ceramic nanoparticles. During the doctoral studies, he gained extensive knowledge and expertise in the synthesis and characterization of these nanomaterials. Following the PhD, he pursued postdoctoral research, emphasizing the printing of nanomaterials and the development of thin films. This research experience provides a strong foundation for Live Mirror project, which aims to combine mirrors made via thin film deposition on glass with the printing of nanomaterials for the creation of printed circuits and electroactive elements. His skills and background in nanomaterials and thin films are crucial for advancing this innovative project.<\/span><\/p>\n
